Pizza, pizza, pizza

Today is the first experiment for 6-1 Science where the students have a series of specific directions to follow, data to gather, safety procedures to observe, and work to complete collaboratively. Not to mention to learn something about heating dirt and water!
I have extended the the Smith Pizza Challenge: each period that completes the experiment without a major flaw gets a pizza.
"Major flaws" include: safety issues; not following directions; arguing amongst the team; miscellaneous errors indicating that the team is not prepared.
Remember: When all else fails, follow the directions!
Results:
Period 2 - 1 pizza!

Period 3 - 1/2 pizza
Period 5 - 1/4 pizza
Period 6 - 3/4 pizza
No serious safety problems, some unexpected results (the best kind),
and only one argument! I am impressed! Good work!
2.5 PIZZAS!
