Science Word-A-Day

I am very proud of the Word-A-Day program.
The data shows vocabulary building contributes independently to scientific literacy.
This year students have learned 130 new science words or scientific terms.
Although I don't expect students to know the definitions of all these words in detail,
I do know that learning them has enhanced their knowledge and thinking skills.
Thanks for helping them do so well--the average score for WAD quizzes generally
was in the MASTERY range!
